After taking the summer off (from blogging), I have decided to start it back up! Over the next month, I will write up a couple posts about what I was up to this summer. Hopefully, I will get at least one video up. To highlight a couple of the activities this summer, I went tubing 4-6 times, camping all over Colorado and Utah, and trying to kill myself on a mountain bike.
Recently, I just moved out of the house I was living in and moved to Golden Colorado. It is a small town nestled up against the mountains just west of Denver. It is home to the Coors Brewery. I am renting a small house with Aaron Smith. I'm under the assumption that Coors Light deliveries come with paying for trash removal, but we have not figured that out.
This past weekend also marked the first ski day! Arapahoe Basin opened October 17th, so three of us headed up on Sunday. There was only one run open, but the snow was actually good. It was a blast to be surrounded by people being stoked to ride one small run. We skied seven runs in 2.5 hours, had a PBR or two in the parking lot soaking up the sun, then headed back to Denver to continue to move.
I will update the statistics on the right to start off the 2013-2014 season. It will be interesting to see if I can top 58 days and 1 million feet in a full year with a job.
Be on the lookout for a crazy mountain biking video. The video was taken at Moab and involves falling down 7,000 feet of mountain over 30 miles and 7 hours of biking. The last 14 miles of the ride, I only rode in socks because the beginning of the trail was so hard, both my shoes completely broke.
