Life at 9,900 feet

Since Accenture has allowed me to take such a huge step and take a leave for three months, I have decided to create this sweet little blog. I am creating this mostly because I know these next three months will fly by and other than only remembering that I skied a little, I want to make sure I remember as much as possible. I'm not sure how these next couple months will play out or even the next year or two following, but one thing is for sure. This experience is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity.

RICE works

After 5 days of not skiing, I finally got back out there again, and it felt good. It is sort of a double edged sword. My ankle felt a lot better, but I think it was just because I have been taking it easy. With Kate and Adam coming in during this week, I'm going to go to Vail tomorrow, just to get familiar with the mountain again. I took some footage today, but again, the angle wasn't good. I think I got it figured out finally. The only footage I have is of one of my 3's. It was the first time this year I went off a jump. I'm not sure it was the smartest thing for my ankle, but enough is enough. It is February and I just have to ski through the pain. Don't worry. When you see the video and the whole 4 feet of air I get, you will see how it can't be that bad for my ankle.
